is invited to a meeting
of the newsletter committee at 6:30pm, Thursday,
Jan 6. The meeting will be held in the first floor library
room of the AFSCME building on the corner
of Armour
and Hardman in South St. Paul.

DFL SD 39 Regular Meeting schedule
The DFL Senate District 39 central committee or executive committee
will meet the evening of every third Thursday of the month.
The location
will vary and will be posted on the web site.
Committee Meetings are open to observers. Observing DFL activists
have voice. Only committee members have votes. These meetings
are for official business of the party. (The DFL meetup - see notice
above - are unofficial, informal, less structured, more social and
activist-oriented meetings.)
Local officers elected by the Senate District convention are members
of the executive committee. The central committee includes local
officers and precinct chairpersons. Precinct chairpersons are chosen
at the caucus.

Congratulations to Rick & Joe!
Rick Hansen was elected as State Representative in
District 39A
with 55% of the vote. Congratulations also go to Megan Verdeja,
Rick's campaign manager.
Joe Atkins was re-elected in District 39B with 68% of the vote.
The DFL gained 13 seats in the Minnesota House,
cutting the Republican majority down to only two seats.
